It is important to have a healthy lifestyle that incorporates regular exercise. We have rounded up six (6) easy and quick exercises that you can do to keep up with your busy life.

Even if your schedule is always full, it is still possible to do regular exercise to maintain a healthy body.

Leave your excuses behind and try these quick and easy exercises for busy people like you:

1. Squats

Squatting is great for the young and old who spend long hours sitting down. This quick exercise targets our butt, stomach, and legs and also strengthens the muscles around your knees. Correct posture when squatting is the key to optimum benefits.

If you are a beginner, you can try squats once or twice a day during your breaks. Depending on your stamina, you can do 3 to 10-minute squats per session.

2. Wall Sits

Wall sitting is very simple and you don't need any equipment to do it. This exercise can help strengthen and tone your muscles.

Stand with your back against the wall then slide your back down while bending your knees. When your thighs are parallel to the floor, hold for a few seconds, then stand up and repeat the movement. As you get used to this exercise, you can increase your holding time.

3. Leg Lifts

Leg lifts improve your balance and stability. It also helps develop strong hip flexors and abs.

This is a simple exercise that you can do in your office for 10 to 15 minutes. You may use a stable chair or your desk for this exercise.

While sitting, extend one leg in front of you and hold it for 10 seconds. Do the same with your other leg. When you have warmed up, you may extend the holding time and make small circles with your foot to challenge yourself.

4. Chair Dips

If you want to strengthen your arms, chair dips are a good workout for you. For this exercise, you'll need a sturdy chair as support.

To start, sit on the chair while your hands are on the edge of the chair and by your thighs. Scoot your butt forward until it is off the chair. Lower yourself about six inches below the seat while your arms are bent then rise back up by straightening your arm.

Repeat this movement 10 times or more.

5. Heel Raises

Heel raises make your calves stronger. It is a very easy exercise, so it is ideal for beginners.

To do it, stand up straight and slowly raise the balls of your feet. Maintain that position for about three (3) seconds then return to a standing position then repeat the movement.

6. Taking the Stairs

If your office is just a few floors up and unless you are running late, taking the stairs is a great option. Stair climbing is good for your cardio and it also helps burn extra calories. Ideally, you should climb the stairs briskly, but if you want to crank it up a bit, you can run up as fast as you can.

Don't say you can't afford to exercise, because the reality is—if you love your body, you can't afford not to.
